Beginning his career behind the scenes as a make-up artist during Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Macbeth, Celebrity Speaker Zach Braff appeared in Woody Allen’s Manhattan Murder Mystery and had a stint on Disney’s The Baby-sitters Club.
Zach Braff was nominated for three Golden Globes and an Emmy for his role in Scrubs. Not only did he serve as a cast member, but he was also one of the executive producers. He directed, wrote, produced, and starred in 2004’s Garden State and in 2005; he won a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for a Motion Picture for Garden State’s soundtrack. He has directed several music videos including: Gavin DeGraw’s “Chariot”, Joshua Radin’s “Closer” and “I’d Rather Be With You,” Cary Brothers’ “Ride,” and Lazlo Bane’s “Superman.” Zach Braff has also made an appearance on Arrested Development. In 2014, he directed and starred in Wish I Was Here alongside Kate Hudson.
Celebrity Speaker Zach Braff has provided his voice for Chicken Little, the video game Kingdom Hearts II, PUR water campaign, Wendy’s TV commercials and Cottonelle commercials.
His other passion is theatre and he took a lead role in Trust which ran from July 23 to September 12, 2010. In 2011, he wrote a play which is to be performed at the Second Stage Theatre called, All New People. In 2009, Zach Braff opened up Mermaid Oyster Bar in New York City with friend and chef, Laurence Edelman. He supports numerous charities such as, Declare Yourself, Earth Day Network, Los Angeles Free Clinic, Red Cross, Robin Hood, and Soles4Souls.
