Celebrity Speaker Zac Efron got his start in the acting business by winning the hearts of teenage girls across the world in the Disney Channel franchise High School Musical. Originally the films were not expected to do well and were made with low expectations, however, the franchise ended up being a huge success and led to a world tour through Sydney, London, and England, making Efron an international star. After taking the world by storm with his talent and good looks, the offers came rolling in for the young actor. He went on to star in hit films Hairspray, 17 Again, Charlie St. Cloud, New Year’s Eve, The Lucky One, The Lorax, Footloose, and Neighbors. On top of all his movies, he has made many television appearances. Efron has been featured in the prank show Punk’d, late-night sketch show Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, as well as a comedic short video entitled Zac Efron’s Pool Party for the website Funny or Die.  Efron has also been featured alongside Kristen Bell and Sean Combs in an advertising campaign for the MTV Movie Awards. Most recently he appeared on outdoor adventurer Bear Gryll’s newest show Running Wild with Bear Grylls, where the Hollywood heartthrob can be seen jumping out of helicopters and eating worms.

In addition to his acting, Celebrity Speaker Zac Efron has also earned spots on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list and on People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People list. Despite the success and quick rise to fame, life in the spotlight has not always been easy for Efron. In early 2013 he announced that he would be entering rehab to pursue treatment for alcoholism and substance abuse. Upon finishing his stint at rehab in June 2013, Efron has remained sober and has since opened up publicly about his decision to get clean and rebuild his self-confidence.
