Vivek began his career in tech as a software developer before becoming the VP of Information Services at investment banking powerhouse CS First Boston. While with CSFB, Vivek helped create computer-aided software-writing systems that became the basis for the startup, Seer Technologies. As the Executive VP and CTO of Seer, Vivek helped the startup grow into a $118 million publicly traded company.

Outside of his research and development, Vivek is an accomplished author of several books including Innovating Women: The Changing Face of Technology, and The Driver in the Driverless Car: How Our Technology Choices Will Create the Future. His most recent book released in June 2018 is titled Your Happiness Was Hacked: Why Tech Is Winning the Battle to Control Your Brain–and How to Fight Back.
