Football coach, former player, and sports speaker Urban Meyer is currently the Ohio State University football head coach. Before joining the Buckeyes, Urban was coach at Bowling Green State University, University of Utah, and the University of Florida until his retirement at the end of the 2010 season.
While with the Gators, he coached the team to two BCS National Championship Game victories, and accumulated a winning percentage through the 2009 season of .842, which was the highest among all active coaches.
In his second year with Ohio State, he led the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten Conference title as well as the program’s eighth National Championship. Urban is only one of two coaches to win a National Championship at two different schools.
After his first retirement, Urban Meyer worked as a college football analyst for ESPN. In an effort to raise $50 million for the Florida Opportunity Scholars Program, Urban teamed up with Gator’s head basketball coach, Billy Donovan for a scholarship to students that have unique needs and financial challenges. In 2008, Urban Meyer and Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham donated to Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin Family Scholarship. Urban Meyer is avalibale for speaking engagements, sports clinics, and sporting events.
