Joining Liz Claiborne Inc in 2007 as the Chief Creative Officer, Reality TV Speaker Tim Gunn has showed the world that the company is serious about going back to its roots to focus on product and design. With Tim’s position, he leads an ongoing campaign to restore a culture with a welcoming of creative process, creating a more compelling product to attract the best design and merchandising talent.
Prior to joining the Liz Claiborne team, Tim Gunn was the Chair of Department of Fashion Design at parsons The New School for Design with 23 years under his belt. In this position, Tim was in charge of retooling and invigorating the curriculum for the 21st century. With Tim as the leader, Parsons strengthened its position as the indisputable leader in fashion design education in America. Before this position, he was the Associate Dean of Parsons. At this position, he worked with the academic departments and helped develop programs abroad, including the international spectrum of Parsons affiliates in Paris, Korea, Japan and the Dominican Republic.
Tim Gunn’s claim to fame was his role on Bravo’s Emmy-nominated show, Project Runway where he was a mentor to the contestants. His current show with Bravo, is Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style. Tim Gunn is available for speaking engagements, hosting and autograph signings.
