Sports Motivational Speaker for hire Steve Young is a former NFL quarterback and 3-Time Super Bowl Champion. Steve was a member of the San Francisco 49ers team also featuring fellow NFL legends Joe Montana and Jerry Rice that ruled the NFC in the late 80’s and 90’s. This 2-Time NFL MVP now works as an NFL Analyst and Co-host of ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown. Away from the bright lights of NFL football, Steve travels the country as a Sports Motivational Speaker sharing his own principles to success at industry conferences, college speaker series, sports banquets and more.

After a standout college career at BYU, Steve signed a $40 million contract to play for the Los Angeles Express of the USFL. Two years later the league would crumble and he was chosen as the first overall pick in the 1984 NFL Supplemental Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The franchise was struggling at the time but Steve got some valuable reps and the San Francisco 49ers took notice. He was traded to the 49ers in 1987 and would spend the rest of his 15-year career with the team before retiring in 1999.

He served as Montana’s backup during his first 3 years with the team but held his own when it was time to fill in on the field. Steve was a gamer and he was always prepared when his number was called. Montana went down with an injury which led to Steve’s first opportunity to the lead the 49ers as the starting quarterback in 1991. He won his first NFL MVP Award in 1992 before winning his second NFL MVP Award and the Super Bowl title in 1994. He threw a record-setting 6 touchdown passes in Super Bowl XXIX and also won the Super Bowl MVP. Steve finished his career as the highest-rated quarterback of all time and became the first left-handed quarterback ever to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005.

Steve has worked in the corporate sector as a co-founder and managing director of several private equity firms including Sorenson Capital and Huntsman Gay Global Capital. He has also worked as a celebrity spokesperson for a number of reputable industry leading companies including VISA, Nike, Sprint, PowerBar and ICON Health & Fitness to name a few. In 1993, he founded the Forever Young Foundation which nurtures the lives of children in need through education, athletic training and therapeutic opportunities.
