Political satirist and Celebrity Speaker Stephen Colbert is the former host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report where he portrays a caricatured version of conservative political pundits. The show’s final episode aired on December 18th, 2014 after an incredible 10 season run. Originally in hopes to become an actor, Stephen became very interested in improvisational theatre. His first performance was at the Second City Chicago.

He began writing and performing on the Dana Carvey Show before going on Strangers with Candy. Although, it was his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show that his career shot off. In 2005, he left The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to create his series, The Colbert Report. This established himself as one of Comedy Central’s highest rated series, earning him three Emmy Award nominations and an invitation to perform at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in 2006.

In April of 2014, CBS sent out a press release stating that Stephen would take the reigns as host of the The Late Show upon David Letterman’s retirement. The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will premier it’s first episode in September of 2015.
