Celebrity chef speaker Rocco Dispirito has a passion for cooking which is evident in his restaurant, Union Pacific, as it received three stars from the New York Times but Rocco later left the restaurant in 2004. Rocco was named Food and Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs in 1999 and in 2000, was the first chef to be on the cover of Gourmet Magazine and was named America’s Most Exciting Young Chef. Rocco has also won the Flavor award from the James Beard Foundation.
Rocco’s fifth cookbook, Rocco Gets Real was published in 2008 and in this same year, A&E launched, Rocco Gets Real! He also starred in the series, The Restaurant, which aired on NBC. You may also see Rocco on The Biggest Loser and on Top Chef Bravo, along with the Rachael Ray Show. Rocco also hosted his own radio show for WOR.
Rocco also put on his dancing shoes for Dancing with the Stars in season seven and placed ninth overall. Rocco has a show launched on Bravo at 11pm on June 15, 2011 called Rocco’s Dinner Party, where chefs create meals to be judged by Rocco and his hand-picked guests. Rocco was also an endorser of American Express.Debuting in 2013, Rocco hosts the Food Network reality show Restaurant Divided, where he goes to struggling restaurants where the owners have two differing visions. He then picks which concept will save the restaurant. He is able to provide roles in culinary consulting, event planning and hosting.
