Sports Motivational Speaker Pete Rose is a former professional baseball player in the MLB who spent the majority of his 24-year playing career with the Cincinnati Reds. A Cincinnati native, Pete is recognized as one of the greatest hitters in MLB history who still holds the record for most career hits with 4,256. He was a member of the Reds dynasty known as the Big Red Machine that ruled the National League in the 1970’s. From 1970-1976, Pete helped lead the Reds to 5 NL division titles, 4 NL pennants and 2 World Series titles. In 2015, Sports Motivational Speaker Pete Rose was honored with fellow Big Red Machine teammates Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench and Barry Larkin as 1 of the 4 most memorable players in Reds franchise history at the 2015 MLB All-Star Game held at Great American Ballpark.

Nicknamed “Charlie Hustle”, Pete was a gamer. He gave 110% every game and could play any position in the field having made 17 total All-Star appearances at 5 different positions (1B, 2B, 3B, LF, RF). He broke into the league straight out of high school in 1963 and was named the NL Rookie of the Year. The Reds were looking for answers and they found one in this young, upstart that could fill holes on defense in the infield and outfield. Pete would soon lead the Reds to back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and 1976.

From 1979-1983, Sports Motivational Speaker Pete Rose played for the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies lured him away from his hometown Reds with what was then the highest paying contract of any athlete in team sports. Pete provided that extra spark the club needed and helped the Phillies win the World Series in 1980. He returned to the Reds in 1984, becoming a player-manager for the team. In 1986, he ended his playing career and served as the Reds full-time manager until 1989.

In 2015, Pete was hired as a featured studio analyst for MLB broadcasts on Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1. He now makes regular appearances as a keynote speaker for corporate events and fundraisers.
