Co-anchor of CBS This Morning, Norah O’Donnell, is one of the best journalists in America today, covering every major national event from presidential elections to the devastating 9/11 attacks. Born and raised in Washington D.C., celebrity speaker Norah O’Donnell attended Georgetown University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, then later a masters degree in liberal studies. Norah’s first major reporting gig came from the political newspaper Roll Call where she served as staff writer covering congress until 1999. She then took this background in reporting on politics to NBC’s morning news program the Today Show, where she worked as a commentator covering many of the latest happenings in the nations capital.  During her time with NBC, O’Donnell also became the Chief Washington Correspondent for MSNBC as well as the White House correspondent for NBC News. On top of all that she was a contributing anchor for MSNBC Live, as well as a rotating news anchor on Weekend Today. Her reports were frequently featured on top news programs such as NBC Nightly News, Dateline NBC, and Hardball with Chris Matthews. She stayed with NBC until 2011 then decided to join the CBS team, where she has continued to grow in her broadcasting career. She began serving as Chief White House correspondent for CBS in 2011. Later that year, in October, she was chosen to fill in for Scott Pelley on the CBS Evening News, which she handled with the grace and poise of a seasoned veteran evening news anchor. The network went on to ask her to fill in several more times, making her a frequent face on the evening news. A year later in 2012, she received the honor of becoming a CBS This Morning co-anchor alongside Charlie Rose and Gayle King. O’Donnell has won numerous awards as a result of her pristine reporting skills including the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Breaking News Coverage for her Dateline NBC story “DC in Crisis,” which aired on the night of September 11, 2001, and an Emmy for her efforts in NBC News’ Election Night coverage in 2008. She has also been named one of the Top 100 Irish Americans by Irish American magazine, and one of Washington’s 100 most powerful women by Washingtonian Magazine.

Outside of reporting, celebrity speaker Norah O’Donnell is married to restaurateur Geoff Tracy, owner of famed D.C restaurant Chef Geoff’s, and the two are parents of three children. Together, O’Donnell and Tracy have written a cookbook for parents entitled Baby Love: Healthy, Easy, Delicious Meals for Your Baby and Toddler, which was released in 2010.
