Michael worked alongside Kelly Ripa to co-host the morning talk show Live! With Kelly and Michael, before moving on in April of 2016 to join the Good Morning America team full-time. He is also an analyst for Fox NFL Sunday.
Michael was drafted in the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. His first season, Michael had many injuries which led him to play only 9 games. He bounced back and by 1997, he had his breakout year with 14 sacks. For his gallant efforts, Michael was voted into his first Pro Bowl and named to the First Team All-Pro by the Associated Press.
His 15th and final season with the Giants, proved to be its best season since 1990. After Michael sacked Donovan McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles, it increased his career total to 133.5, setting a new franchise record. In Super Bowl XLII, he had an outstanding game with 2 tackles and 1 sack. The Giants went on to win 17-4 in what is considered one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. On June 9, 2008 Michael Strahan retired with 141.5 career sacks, 794 career tackles, 4 career interceptions, 21 forced fumbles and 2 career touchdowns.
In 2008, Giants teammate Justin Tuck and Michael Strahan teamed up with Nike to design their own pair of sneakers for ID studio in New York City with the proceeds going to Nike’s Let Me Play global campaign. In 2014, Michael was announced as a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. Michael is available for speaking engagements, product promotion, and personal appearances.
