Marc Murphy is a celebrity chef speaker who specializes in French and Italian cuisine. He is also a restaurant owner and television personality.

As the son of a diplomat, Chef Marc Murphy spent his childhood and adolescence living in various places throughout Europe. Although he did not aspire to be a chef until later in life; his time in Milan and Rome seemed to have made an impression as it influences the cuisine that he cooks in his restaurants today. Murphy owns several New York restaurants, his first one, Landmarc, which he opened with his wife, Pamlea Schein Murphy, in 2004 is a bistro-style eatery located in Tribeca and features rustic French and Italian dishes along with a popular non-traditional wine list. Three years later, Chef Murphy opened Landmarc at the Time Warner Center where he joined fellow celebrity chefs and restaurateurs Masa Takayama, Michael Lomonaco, and Thomas Keller, who also have restaurants in the building. He also owns Ditch Plains, a seafood restaurant with a more casual beach, fish shack vibe, with locations in West Village and the Upper West Side.

Celebrity Chef Speaker Marc Murphy challenged superstar chef Bobby Flay to compete against him on Iron Chef America in 2007. The two competed in a breakfast theme challenge where judges Ted Allen, Cady Huffman, and Julie White ultimately named Chef Flay as the victor. Chef Murphy has been a guest on daytime shows such as the Rachael Ray Show on ABC, NBC’s The Today Show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Unique Eats, and The Martha Stewart Show. Marc also makes regular appearances as a celebrity chef judge for the top-rated cooking competition series, Chopped, since it first began airing on Food Network in 2009.
