At one time, celebrity chef speaker Josh Capon was just a college student cooking up food for his friends. However, Celebrity Chef Speaker Josh soon realized that the culinary arts and cooking were his true calling. Transferring to Johnson and Wales University and completing his culinary education, the chef started learning from the best of the best in some of the world’s biggest hubs for great food, from New York City and France to Italy, Germany, and Spain. Equipped with his worldly education and a natural flair for food, Josh went on to open three restaurants in New York City called B&B Winepub, El Toro Blanco, and Lure Fishbar; the latter of the three has a second location in South Beach, Miami.
The four-time winner of Celebrity Chef Rachael Ray’s annual Burger Bash competition is no amateur to competition. He has served as a guest judge on the acclaimed Food Network cooking show Chopped hosted by Ted Allen and featuring celebrity chefs like Geoffrey Zakarian, Maneet Chauhan, Amanda Freitag, and Aaron Sanchez. Josh has also made numerous appearances on Spike TV’s show Bar Rescue, helping to turn around failing bars, and in 2014, Celebrity Chef Speaker Josh will be pioneering the channel’s first cooking competition show Frankenfood. On the new series, local aspiring chefs and amateur foodies will go head to head in fierce competition in hopes of getting their culinary creations on the menu of a popular local restaurant. The competitors must combine creativity with tried and true favorites to produce new twists on old favorites and discover new flavor combinations, two things Josh already excels at. The show’s fun and adventurous vibe reflects the Josh’s own personality in and out of the kitchen. In 2014, Josh had the honor of being selected to host the New York Yankee’s All Star brunch. Josh even finds time to give back and his most recent effort occurred in May 2015 when he teamed up with other all star chefs to provide lunch for Eat (Red) Drink (Red) Save Lives campaign which raises money and awareness to fight AIDS.
