Sports Speaker Joe Buck began his broadcasting career in 1989 while an undergraduate at Indiana University. His father, legendary broadcaster Jack Buck, broadcasted for the St. Louis Cardinals and conducted their spring training.

Before being hired at Fox, Joe called the play-by-plays for the Louisville Redbirds and was a reporter for ESPN’s coverage of the Triple-A All-Star Game. In 1991, he was a reporter for St. Louis’ CBS affiliate KMOV. From 1992-1995, he was the color commentator for University of Missouri basketball.

Fox hired Sports Speaker Joe Buck in 1994 and he became the youngest man ever to announce a regular slate of NFL games on network TV. Two years later, he was named the lead play-by-play voice for MLB alongside Tim McCarver. This same year, he became the youngest man to broadcast nationally for a World Series. He made his famous announcement, about the “Curse of the Bambino” when the Boston Red Sox won the World Championships. In 2002, he became Fox Sports’ lead NFL play-by-play man alongside Cris Collinsworth and Troy Aikman and is the third announcer to handle a TV network’s MLB and NFL coverage. He was then named host of Fox’s pregame NFL show, Fox NFL Sunday and in 2008, he signed with HBO to host a talk show called Joe Buck Live.

Joe completed a unique double-header when he first announced a New York Giants- San Fransisco 49ers game and then by trolley travelled across town to call Game One of the NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Fransisco Giants in October 2012. In April 2014, it was announced that Joe would team with Greg Norman to anchor Fox’s new U.S. Golf Association package, mainly focusing on the the U.S. Open Tournament. He was also named the new host of the NFL Films Present because of the move from ESPN2 to Fox Sports 1.

Sports Speaker Joe is a seven-time Emmy Award winner and has been with Fox Sports for over 20 years. He has also hosted The Joe Buck Classic golf tournament, which benefits St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Joe Buck is available for speaking engagements, product promotions, and sporting events.
