Making her acting debut on stage, Celebrity Speaker Gwyneth Paltrow began appearing in films in 1991. Her early films included Se7en, Emma, Sliding Doors, A Perfect Murder, and Shakespeare in Love. Gwyneth won an Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her role in Shakespeare in Love. She also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2011 after playing Holly Holiday on the FOX show, Glee.

Not only has Gwyneth Paltrow played supporting roles in films, but also lead roles in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Shallow Hal, and Proof. She was awarded a Golden Globe nomination as Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama for Proof. In 2008, Gwyneth played Pepper Potts in the highest grossing movie of her career, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, The Avengers, and Iron Man 3. She has been the face of Estee Lauder’s Pleasures perfume since 2005 and the fashion brand Coach.  Gwyneth Paltrow has had the number one film at the US box office, Contagion in 2011, which was the same weekend as her Emmy Award. People magazine named Gwyneth the 2013 “Most Beautiful Woman”. Her most recent film was alongside Johnny Depp in the film Mortdecai, released in 2015.

Gwyneth is a Save the Children artist ambassador, and raises awareness about World Pneumonia Day. Other charitable functions include the Robin Hood Foundation which works to improve poverty in New York City, the Food Band For New York City and UNICEF.

Her vocal debut came in 2000 in the movie Duets, where she performed a cover version of Smokey Robinson’s Cruisin. Her role as Kelly Canter in Country Song became a hit after the 2010 movie. She also signed for a PBS TV series called Spain… on the road again with Celebrity Chef Mario Batali. The series showcases the food and culture in Spain; Gwyneth has also written cookbooks– My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Faimly & Togetherness, Notes from My Kitchen Table, and Spain… A Culinary Road Trip.
