With his distinctive trademark glasses and classic style, Iron Chef and Celebrity Chef Speaker Geoffrey Zakarian is not just a Celebrity Chef, restaurateur, television superstar, and cookbook author; he is an iconic symbol in the culinary industry. Chef Zakarian began his thirty year culinary career training under master chef Daniel Boulud as apprentice chef at his famous restaurant, Le Cirque. Chef Geoffrey went on to become executive chef for the restaurant 44 in New York City’s Royalton Hotel and was executive chef for Patroon in Manhattan where he received an excellent, 3-star rating from the New York Times before moving to Paris to work with three Michelin star chef Alain Passard at his renowned restaurant, Arpège, in Paris, France. Today, Zakarian owns several award winning restaurants, including The Lambs Club and The National Bar & Dining Rooms in New York City, The Water Club in New Jersey, and his recently launched Ocean Blue restaurant on the Norwegian Cruise Line’s vessel, The Norwegian Breakaway.
Celebrity Chef Speaker Geoffrey Zakarian has received much publicity for his culinary successes. He has made guest appearances on countless television programs including Bravo’s Top Chef, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, The Next Food Network Star, ABC’s The Chew, and The Next Iron Chef. In 2011, Chef Geoffrey competed on season four of The Next Iron Chef against some of the top chefs in the country, including Iron Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli, Anne Burrell, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Chiarello, and Elizabeth Falkner. Geoffrey won the entire competition and, in turn, became a member of the elite group, Iron Chef America. Chef Zakarian also appears regularly as a judge on Food Network’s series, Chopped alongside fellow celebrity chefs Marc Murphy, Amanda Freitag, Aaron Sanches, Scott Conant, and Chris Santos.
