    • Judge on Food Network's "The Next Iron Chef" & Bravo's "Top Chef"

With more than twenty years of experience in the culinary industry, Celebrity Chef Speaker Elizabeth Falkner seems to have done it all. Originating from San Francisco, Chef Falkner opened and operated two successful businesses in the area, restaurant and bakery, Citizen Cake and acclaimed restaurant Orson. Falkner closed both restaurants in 2011 when she decided to move across country to New York to pursue her dream of opening an Italian neighborhood restaurant in Brooklyn, Krescendo.

Chef Falkner’s television career began in 2005 when she made several appearances as sous chef to Iron Chef Cat Cora in the Food Network series Iron Chef America. From there, she made a name for herself when she competed on season four of The Next Iron Chef in 2011 against Super Chefs Robert Irvine, Marcus Samuelsson, Chuck Hughes, Michael Chiarello, Anne Burrell, Alex Guarnaschelli, Beau MacMillan, and Geoffrey Zakarian. Chef Falkner impressed viewers and her peers when she beat out all of the chefs in the competition, finishing second to The Next Iron Chef winner, Chef Zakarian. In 2013, Chef Elizabeth competed on Chopped All-Stars where she cooked against celebrity chefs Chuck Hughes, Richard Blais, and Gavin Kaysen.  Falkner has also been featured on such shows as the Martha Stewart Show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Restaurant Impossible, Unique Sweets, The Next Iron Chef, and as guest judge on Bravo’s Top Chef.

A cookbook author, Celebrity Chef Speaker Elizabeth Falkner has written two cookbooks during her career. The first, entitled Elizabeth Falkner’s Demolition Desserts: Recipes from Citizen Cake, was published in 2007, and she released her second book, Cooking Off the Clock: Recipes from My Downtime, in 2012. She has also received countless accolades for her culinary achievements, including being named the San Francisco Chronicle’s Rising Star Chef, nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s award for Best Pastry Chef, and being inducted in to the Culinary Hall of Fame.
