Business Speaker Diane Hendricks is widow of Ken Hendricks an entrepreneur who developed his shingle business, ABC Supply, into a billion fortune. In 2007 Ken tragically died after falling from the family’s roof, leaving ABC Supply to his wife Diane. After Ken’s death, Diane was determined to keep the business she and her husband has started. She rejected numerous buy-out offers and even weathered the financial crisis that occurred in 2008 on her own. Today she controls the nation’s largest roofing, window and siding wholesale distributor. After last year’s acquisition of competitor Bradco Supply Co., 2010 sales reached $4.1 billion, up from $2.7 billion the previous year.
Diane met her husband at the age of 21 and together they launched ABC Supply in 1982. Even though she only graduated from high school Hendricks now oversees a billion dollar business and a 24 million square foot commercial property. She also takes time from her busy schedule to help raise her growing family of 7 children and 17 grandchildren. Diane Hendricks is available for speaking engagements, hosting, and corporate appearances.
According to Forbes, Diane holds the number one spot on the list of America’s Self-Made Women with a net worth of $4.8 billion
