Before celebrity chef speaker Curtis Stone realized that his heart was in food, he was studying Business. Working at top Australian restaurants, he later moved to work in London at various restaurants. At the age of eighteen, he began working at the Savoy Hotel. He then became trained as a chef and began cooking in London with Marco Pierre White at Café Royal and Mirabelle. He eventually became head chef at Quo Vadis and then moved to Restaurant 301 in Eureka, California.
What led Curtis Stone to his popularity was the book about London’s finest chefs, London on a Plate. This shot himself into the public eye, and helped his restaurant become famous. Curtis has also had appearances on the Bravo his series, Top Chef and now hosts the third season. This wasn’t Curtis’ first TV series, in 2003 in Australia; Curtis filmed Surfing the Menu, which filmed three series. He also hosted a restaurant reality series in Australia called My Restaurant Rules. Other shows included, Dinner in a Box, Good Food Live, and Saturday Kitchen.
Curtis Stone has also been on Oprah for the “Celebrity Chefs Move In With Viewer Families” episode. On this episode, Curtis helped a Virginia couple quit their $400 a week take-out routine by giving them a week’s worth of quick and easy homemade alternatives. Curtis is also known as Oprah’s favorite celebrity chef.
Curtis has great products ranging from chopping boards, bake ware and prep tools and is the spokesperson for GreatGrain Cereal. He is available for public speaking, autograph signing, Mommy Blogger events and hosting.
