Social Media Speaker Christopher Poole is the co-founder of two popular websites, 4chan and Canvas. When Christopher started the 4chan, it began as a small site targeting anime fans, growing to one of the largest and most influential communities on the Net. The site draws in close to 20 million visitors a month, many popular viral videos, phenomena and memes have gotten their start on 4chan.
Christopher Poole was selected by TIME Magazine’s editors as one of the TIME 100, an annual list of The World’s Most Influential People. Christopher Poole is also a distinguished speaker, and was featured at the TED 2010 conference. In January 2015, he stepped down from his position as head administrator at 4chan. At the time of this announcement, more than a billion people had visited 4chan in the eleven and a half years since Christopher Poole had created the site.
