Celebrity Chef Speaker Christopher Lee, originally from Huntington, New York, moved to California to receive his culinary education at the California Culinary Academy. From there, Chef Lee went on to continue his training in several restaurants on both the east and west coasts, including The Fifth Floor restaurant in San Francisco, Restaurant Daniel in New York City where he worked under the esteemed master chef Daniel Boulud and for famous Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at his flagship restaurant, Jean Georges in New York City. However, it wouldn’t be until he became sous chef for Oceana in New York that Chef Christopher Lee would be able to make his mark on the food industry. After receiving top reviews from major city magazines, Christopher was hired at Stephen Starr’s Striped Bass. Chef Lee became executive chef at the restaurant, earning rave reviews by Travel and Leisure magazine who named it one of their Best New American Restaurants in 2004 and one of Gourmet magazine’s top restaurants in the country in 2006.
In 2010, Celebrity Chef Speaker Christopher would go on to open his own restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida, called Eden South Beach. The bistro setting along with a full bar and lounge has quickly become one of the most popular bars throughout the city. In 2011, he would open up a gastro pub called Huntington Social back in his hometown, which received rave reviews from the New York Times. Lee also runs C. Lee Consulting, a consulting firm which allows him to help other restaurateurs and chefs bring their restaurant ideas to life. Christopher Lee has had experience cooking across the country throughout his career, for which he has earned several accolades including being named one of Food and Wine magazine’s Top Ten Best New Chefs of 2006 and winner of the Rising Star Chef of the Year award by the James Beard Foundation.
