One of the most respected sports commentators and hosts, Chris Fowler has been working with Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) for more than twenty five years. Starting out as an anchor and reporter for ESPN’s Scholastic Sports America in the mid-eighties, Fowler continues to be the voice behind sports broadcasting to this day. During his career with the network, Fowler has served as host for several prestigious programs including the Emmy Award Winning show, College GameDay, coverage of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four tournament on ESPN, and many more. In 2014, Chris replaced Brent Musburger as the play-by-play announcer for Saturday Night Football on ABC.

In 2004, Celebrity Sports Speaker Chris Fowler was named one of the “Most Powerful Media Personalities in Sports” by Sporting News Magazine alongside his GameDay co-anchors Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso. He has also won two Sports Emmy Awards for hosting the ESPN Classic show, SportsCentury. In 2005, Chris was among the first hosts of the debut series of the college basketball version of College GameDay. He has also been the main host of ESPN’s Grand Slam tennis coverage since 2009 followed by the US Open, the Australian Open, and Wimbledon. In 2010, Fowler was asked by ESPN and ABC networks to host FIFA World Cup from South Africa alongside co-anchor Mike Tirico, a job that would require him to serve as an on-site host for the month-long event. Chris’ coverage also includes reporting on the Summer and Winter X Games, the Daytona 500, the Kentucky Derby, ESPN’s Heisman Trophy Presentation, and play-by-play reporter for ESPN’s Thursday College Football Primetime games.
