Actor, screenwriter and celebrity speaker Charlie Hunnam came on to the television scene in his hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne, England when he was discovered by chance by the production manager of a children’s series, Byker Grove. Since that first role, the English actor has gone on to star in several big-name productions, both in England and the United States. Hunnam has acted in numerous roles on television series including Queer as Folk, Young Americans, Undeclared, and the hit FX series, Sons of Anarchy where he plays the role of the main character, Jackson “Jax” Teller.
Charlie has also starred in several motion pictures including the Oscar winning film, Cold Mountain, where he joined an all-star cast including Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. In October of 2015, Charlie is set to appear in the Guillermo del Toro horror film, Crimson Peak, alongside Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain. In addition, he also confirmed his involvement in both Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur and romantic-survival film, The Mountain Between Us. Charlie also revealed in an interview that he was attached to an independent film A Prayer Before Dawn based off the book with the same name, with filming commencing in summer 2015.
