Season three winner of The Voice, Celebrity Speaker Cassadee Pope is on a roll—less than two years after her win, she earned the Country Music Television (CMT) Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year for her song Wasting All These Tears, which was also nominated for Female Video of the Year and landed a spot on the Billboard Top 10 as a country single. The award, which was presented to her by her mentor from The Voice Blake Shelton, is the young singer’s first ever CMT, but almost certainly not her last; since becoming the first female winner of the show, she has hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back.

Although Cassadee did not intend to go the country route, her unique vocals seemed to just fall naturally into the genre more and more each week as she performed on The Voice, and she has fit perfectly into the sphere. Her debut country album entitled Frame by Frame reached the top spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, as well as number nine on the Billboard 200. She also got her fans involved via social media by letting them vote the cover of her first album.

The Florida native performed her hit single Wasting All These Tears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and has also performed on NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly alongside the hit group Train. Additionally, she has appeared on Today and Live! with Kelly and Michael. However, despite all the time spent in the spotlight and in front of cameras, Cassadee revealed she had insecurities over her bad skin, which she was fighting with Proactiv. In 2014, Cassadee became the newest face of the skincare line as an official ambassador, joining Naya Rivera, AJ Cook, Adam Levine, Olivia Munn, Krysten Ritter, Melissa Claire Egan, Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Julianne Hough, who are all endorsers of the popular brand.
