Celebrity Chef Speaker Carla Hall made her culinary debut in 2008 when she starred as a candidate in the fifth season of Bravo’s reality competition series, Top Chef. Although she finished as a runner up to celebrity chef Hosea Rosenberg, Hall had already made a name for herself during the competition as she impressed celebrity chef superstar judges Jacques Pepin and Emeril Lagasse with her stellar culinary skills. She was asked back for Top Chef: All-Stars, season eight, where she competed against celebrity chefs Richard Blais, Tiffani Faison, Casey Thompson, Dale Levitski and Angelo Sosa. That season she also won the votes for the “Fan Favorite” award, beating previous winner, celebrity chef Fabio Viviani.
Chef Hall continues her television career today starring in the extremely successful ABC daily talk show/cooking show, The Chew. Carla hosts the show alongside Iron Chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon, Daphne Oz, and TLC star Clinton Kelly. Carla also makes guest television appearances on shows such as The Dr. Oz Show, Good Morning America, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Chelsea Lately.
Not only is she an award-winning chef, Celebrity Chef Carla Hall is also a very successful businesswoman. She opened her catering business, Alchemy Caterers, in 2001. Since then, the company has evolved in to an artisan cookie company, renamed Alchemy by Carla Hall, where Chef Hall creates “petite bites of love”.
Celebrity Chef Speaker Carla Hall uses a heartfelt approach to cooking, coined “cooking with love”, when she is in the kitchen. She believes that food can bring you happiness, and that it is important to eat healthy every day. This philosophy was the driving theme in her book Cooking with Love: Comfort Food That Hugs You where she provides her readers with 100+ comfort food recipes that she has revamped by using fresh and healthy ingredients.
