Campbell left CNN in 2010 which allowed her to expand her career to new avenues including writing op-ed pieces for major publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Daily Beast.

Campbell has also kept busy as a leading voice in school choice and education reform. She is the founder of the Parents Transparency Project which operates as a watchdog for parents seeking information on issues impacting children in schools. She has also founded 2 non-profits, the Partnership for Educational Justice and The 74. The Partnership for Educational Justice helps students and parents advocate for public school reform while The 74 is an online new site circulating stories regarding education in America.
