Home and garden speaker Bob Vila is best well known for This Old House, Bob Vila’s Home Again and Bob Vila. In 1979, Home and Garden Speaker Bob was hired to host This Old House after he won the “Heritage House of 1978” award by Better Homes and Gardens for his restoration of a Victorian Italiante house in Newton, Massachusetts. Bob currently blogs on his own home improvement website, bobvila.com.

In the early 1990’s Bob Vila became the spokesperson for Sears and began hosting Bob Vila’s Home Again which ran for 16 seasons. Author of 10 books, including a 5 book series, Bob Vila’s Guide to Historic Homes of America, Bob still makes appearances on the Home Shopping Network selling a range of tools under his own brand.
