Sports speaker for hire Bo Jackson is widely considered to be one of the greatest athletes of all time. From his Heisman days at Auburn to his time in the NFL and MLB. Jackson is the only athlete in sports history to be named an All-Star in both the NFL and MLB and was named to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996. Always known to be a star athlete, sports speaker Bo Jackson set state records in high school in track and would continue to dominate the field after committing to Auburn for college football, baseball and track and field. Jackson turned down an opportunity to play for the New York Yankees after being drafted by the MLB straight out of high school to play college football, but would eventually find his way back to the diamond. Jackson would finish with an incredible 45 touchdowns at Auburn in 4 years and had his jersey retired in 1992. In 2007, Jackson was ranked number 8 on ESPN’s Top 25 Players In College Football History list.
After being drafted by the NFL out of college, Jackson chose to join the MLB playing for the Kansas City Royals. He was named an AL All-Star and MVP for the game in his first year. After finding out he would have another chance to play in the NFL the following year, sports speaker Bo Jackson completed the season with the Royals and joined the Oakland Raiders halfway through the season. He would continue to play for the Raiders and Royals until a hip injury ended his football career in 1991. Sports speaker Bo Jackson’s short tenure in the league was filled with records and big-time games, with Bo still holding the record for most rushing yards on Monday Night Football with 221.
After recovering from his hip injury, Jackson had one more shot to play in the MLB with the Chicago White Sox, playing for 3 more seasons and a season with the California Angels before hanging up the cleats in 1994.
