Social Media Speaker and Business Titan Biz Stone is the co-founder and Creative Director of Twitter, Inc and has helped to launch Xanga, Blogger, Odeo and Obvious. An avid blogger, he has published two books about blogging, Blogging: Genius Strategies for Instant Web Content and Who Let The Blogs Out?, along with a third book called Things A Little Bird Told Me, which was published in 2014.
Prior to Twitter, Biz Stone helped build other popular social media services Xanga, Blogger, and Odeo. In 2003, Google invited Biz to join a newly acquired Blogger.com team in a senior role. While there, he helped relaunch the service and grow Blogger worldwide. He then left Google, to rejoin the startup world. In 2012, Biz Stone co-founded a start-up called Jelly Industries where he serves as CEO. Jelly industries released the Jelly app in 2014, and it serves as a Q&A platform that relies on images. Biz Stone has been named 2009 Nerd of the Year by GQ magazine, One of the Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine, Entrepreneur of the Decade by Inc. magazine, and one of Vanity Fair’s Top Ten Influential People of the Information Age.
Biz Stone teaches an annual masters class at Oxford’s Said Business School and serves as an advisor to startups such as Fluther.com, Trazzler.com which he founded, Plinky.com, Justgive.org and many others. He is also an avid vegan and in involved with causes that include animal welfare, environmentalism, poverty, health, and education. He is available for speaking engagements, personal appearances and endorsements.
