Celebrity Chef Speaker Ben Ford is an award winning celebrity chef, restaurateur and television personality. The son of Hollywood actor Harrison Ford, Chef Ben has made a name for himself in his own right. Training under the likes of legendary organic chef, Alice Waters, Chef Ford worked in some of Los Angeles’ most illustrious restaurants, including Campanile, Eclipse, Eberhard Mueller’s Opus, and The Farm of Beverly Hills. Currently, Chef Ben is the proprietor and executive chef of his gastropub, Ford’s Filling Station in Culver City, California. The restaurant serves Traditional and New American cuisine made from regional ingredients which Chef Ben inventively uses to prove his belief that truly good food doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Ford’s Filling Station has received such accolades as two and a half stars from the Los Angeles Times and is recommended by Zagat and Michelin.
In 2007, Celebrity Chef Speaker Ben Ford made his television debut when he went head to head with Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America in cooking with Blue foot chicken as the secret ingredient. Chef Ford was defeated by Bobby Flay, but the exposure gained national attention and was followed by a string of guest appearances on other cooking programs. He appeared as a competitor on Food Network Challenge’s Super Heroes competition, has been a guest on After Hours with Daniel Boulud, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, Chef Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, and Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen on Fox. Ben has also made appearances on The Martha Stewart Show, NBC’s Today Show and Supper Club with Tom Bergeron.
