Celebrity chef Ariane Duarte is a television personality and restaurant owner with business partner, husband, and pastry chef Michael Duarte. The couple met after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and have been cooking together ever since. Together, the chefs own CulinAriane, a four star restaurant serving Italian, French, and Asian inspired dishes located in Montclair, New Jersey. The restaurant has received such accolades as a “very good” rating from the New York Times.
Chef Ariane Duarte captured national attention when she appeared as a contestant on the fifth season of Bravo Network’s cooking competition series, Top Chef. Ariane competed among celebrity chefs Fabio Viviani, Carla Hall, Stefan Richter, and season 5 Top Chef winner Hosea Rosenberg. Duarte was winner on the fourth episode where the chefs were given the task of cooking dishes for the hosts of NBC’s Today Show; her dish, a Beefsteak Tomato Salad with Watermelon and Feta Cheese was picked as favorite on the live morning broadcast. Chef Ariane was winner on the next two episodes which featured guest judges and celebrity chefs Rocco Dispirito, Martha Stewart, Michelle Bernstein, and Jean-Christophe Novelli before she was eliminated in the eighth episode. Ariane Duarte also appeared on The Next Iron Chef in 2012 where she served as sous chef to celebrity chef Amanda Freitag in a cooking battle with Iron Chef Bobby Flay.
Chef Duarte also produces cooking videos for Dinnertool.com, serves as contributing chef to Prevention Magazine, and has been endorsed by Finlandia cheese as their national spokesperson.
