Author, nutritionist, health coach, business consultant, TV host, and entrepreneur Ani Phyo is the world’s most renowned author on raw food, detox, and overall wellness. She has written six bestselling cookbooks, one of which was awarded “Best Vegetarian Cookbook USA 2007” Her book, Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen, teaches people how to cook using fresh, local ingredients that are excellent for your health.
She hosts her own cooking show, Ani’s Raw Food Kitchen Show, as an extension of her books. Chef Phyo is currently in the process of writing her seventh book. Along with her own show, she has also done segments for the City of Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter and Breakdown Services, Vegetarian Times, as well as Veria Living Network. In August of 2010 Ani Phyo was named one of the twelve “warriors” for Sambazan Acai’s “warrior up” program and advertising campaign for ecological and social activists for her work with the Pedal Patch Community, which is an organization that teaches inner city and at-risk youth how to plant gardens and make foods in many urbanized areas, specifically Los Angeles and southern California.
She has done deals for many major companies and corporations, one of which was the blender manufacturer, Vitamix, who hired Ani Phyo to launch their newest high-speed blender. Currently, she is the advisor to the entrepreneurship program at Loyola Marymount University’s business school and advises MBA student projects at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. Chef Phyo also offers Raw Food Certification Classes in which she teaches students how to cook a multitude of healthy and delicious foods using nothing but raw ingredients. She offers three levels of the class each going in to greater detail than the predecessor with the final course being a certification course to become a teacher. She also offers Detox Retreats to teach people how to enjoy detoxing and feel great.
