Adam Savage is a supreme industrial and specials effects designer that found a home on set of the Discovery Channel alongside co-host and partner Jamie Hyneman to create the popular science entertainment TV series Mythbusters. The overwhelming success of the show propelled Adam and Jamie into hosting duties for a reality TV game show called Unchained Reaction that aired on Discovery in 2012. Since their rise to fame in popular culture, both Adam and Mythbusters partner Jamie made cameo appearances in a 2008 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. While many only recognize him as a TV host, Adam and his work as a set and movie prop designer have made their way into a host of different feature films including Galaxy Quest, The Matrix sequels, and multiple movies from the Star Wars trilogy in addition to his role as a celebrity speaker. When he is not taping or working on other projects, Adam has become a prominent keynote speaker and delivered the keynote address at the 2014 SXSW Festival.

Celebrity Speaker Adam Savage is a man of many talents and began his career working in theater in San Francisco. The son of a Sesame Street producer, Adam was featured in several acting gigs including a Charmin commercial and as a drowning boy in Billy Joel’s 1985 music video for You’re Only Human (Second Wind). But Adam would find his niche when he moved on to work for a San Francisco theater production company where the avenues of performance art and special effects intertwine. Working for renowned director and producer George Lucas and his production company Industrial Light and Magic, Adam helped design a multitude of movie props and sets beginning in 1999. While working primarily with movie sets and props, Adam was also a contributor for pieces that were used in TV commercials for companies like Coca-Cola, Hershey’s, and Lexus. Over the course of his career behind the scenes, Adam has also been involved in research and development for toy companies including extensive work with Zoob Toys where he created displays and models for advertisement use as well as toy prototypes.
