Celebrity chef and television host, Aarti Sequeira is known for her Indian cuisine and her love for cooking. Chef Sequeira’s rise to fame began in 2010 when she was announced the winner of season six of Food Network’s number-one hit series, The Next Food Network Star. The judges who named Sequeira as the winner were Bob Tuschman, Susie Fogelson, and Iron Chef Bobby Flay. When Chef Aarti won the top prize for winning the television competition show, she was rewarded with a Food Network cooking series of her own, Aarti Party, which aired for two seasons. Sequeira’s cooking show featured Indian infused American dishes.

Chef Sequeira has also appeared on many other television programs including The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Iron Chef America Countdown, Unique Eats, and The Best Thing I Ever Made. In 2012, she was asked to appear as a contestant on the highly rated Food Network series, Chopped All Stars, where she competed against celebrity chefs Keegan Gerhard, Marcela Valladolid, and Jeffrey Saad. She returned for the Chopped: Food Network Stars! episode where she competed against The Next Food Network Star winners of other seasons, Jeff Mauro, Amy Finley, and Melissa d’Arabian and won with a stunning finish in the dessert genre of the show.

Most recently, Chef Aarti Sequeira hosted the Cooking Channel’s Taste in Translation. She has also appeared as a culinary correspondent for Cooking Channel’s series Drop 5 lbs with Good Housekeeping. On the show, which is hosted by celebrity chef Melissa d’Arabian, Aarti gives advice and tips for eating healthier and living better.
