Multi Grammy Award winning singer, comedian, author, and Celebrity Speaker Bette Midler has enjoyed a successful career in entertainment that has spanned over half a decade.

She got her musical career started by performing with piano accompaniment from Barry Manilow. In 1972, she released her first album, ‘The Divine Miss M’ followed by ‘Bette Midler’ in 1973.

Her breakthrough performance came in The Rose for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Her first comedic role was in Down and Out in Beverly Hills starring opposite Nick Nolte and Richard Dreyfuss. Bette Midler has also won four Golden Globes, one Tony Award, three Emmy Awards and an excess of 15 million albums sold worldwide. She is founder of the New York Restoration Project which offers free in-school and after-school environmental education programming to students from high poverty. For two years she performed a series of shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas entitled, Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On.
