Just by looking at Iron chef and restaurateur, celebrity chef speaker Marc Forgione with his trademark Mohawk hair style, it is clear that he is a force to be reckoned with. Son of the legendary Larry Forgione, who is often referred to as the Godfather of American cuisine, Chef Marc was destined to become a great chef.
In 2008, Chef Marc opened his flagship restaurant, Marc Forgione in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood seemingly following in his father’s footsteps who opened his iconic restaurant, An American Place, in New York City’s Upper East Side thirty years ago. The restaurant was called Forge at the time and later was changed to his full name. The eatery continues to serve up stylish New American cuisine in its comfortable atmosphere and has earned an enormous amount of credibility, receiving Michelin stars three years running and making Chef Marc the youngest American-born chef to earn Michelin stars in consecutive years. Marc Forgione has also been featured in the Top 25 Restaurants in NYC by Modern Luxury magazine, named an All Star Eatery by Forbes magazine, was named Key Newcomer by Zagat Guide and received a two-star review from The New York Times.
Celebrity Chef Speaker Marc Forgione continued to impress the culinary industry when he competed on season three of Food Network’s The Next Iron Chef in 2010. In the final battle, Chef Forgione defeated Chef Marco Canora in a Thanksgiving protein competition and was named the Next Iron Chef. He now joins the team of notorious Iron Chefs Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto, Michael Symon, Jose Garces, Geoffrey Zakarian, Cat Cora and Alex Guarnaschelli competing on Food Network’s Iron Chef America.
