Social Media Speaker Marissa Mayer currently holds the position of Yahoo!’s president and CEO. Mayer is the former Vice President of Location and Local Services for Google. She received her degree from Stanford University and was the first female engineer hired at Google and one of their first twenty employees, after joining Google in the late nineties. Before working at Google, Marissa Mayer worked at the UBS research lab in Switzerland and at SRI International in California.

Following her successful career with Google, Mayer made the move to Yahoo! and signed on as their President and CEO in July of 2012. During her time at Yahoo!, Marissa was the driving force behind the acquisition of Tumblr and led the company to an increase in profits in her first year.
In 2013 Forbes Magazine included Marissa Mayer in their List of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women at number thirty two. Fortune Magazine named her one of the 50 Most Powerful Women In the World, the youngest women ever to make this list. Fortune also ranked Marissa at number fourteen on America’s most powerful businesswomen of 2012. In 2014, she ranked sixth on Fortune’s 40 under 40 list.
