Actor, writer, commentator, lawyer, teacher, comedian and Celebrity Speaker Ben Stein achieved an early success as a speechwriter for former American Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. He then went on to act and host an Emmy Award winning game show.

His writings are usually on economics, politics, social issues and financial advice for investors. Ben Stein is son to economist and White House writer Herbert Stein who was under President Nixon. Ben’s sister Rachel is also a writer. Ben writes a column in The American Spectator and Newsmax, and has previously written for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Penthouse, Los Angeles Magazine, and Barron’s Magazine. Ending in 2009, Ben Stein wrote a biweekly column for Yahoo! Finance online and he is the author to Yes, You Can Retire Comfortably, Can America Survive?, and Yes, You Can Time the Market. He has written sixteen book, seven novels, and nine nonfiction books.

Celebrity Speaker Ben’s acting career blasted off when he played an economic teacher in the 1986 move Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The only scripted line Ben was instructed to say are the now famous, “Bueller?…Bueller?” in a deep monotone voice. He also had a role in the TV series The Wonder Years as Dave. Ben Stein has appeared in many TV commercials, was the host of the Comedy Central quiz show—winner of eleven Emmies. He had frequent appearances on Fox News and has been a judge on CBS’s Star Search.
