NFL analyst and sports speaker Bill Parcells is a former NFL coach, most recently with the Dallas Cowboys. He is known as “The Big Tuna,” and won two Super Bowl rings with the Giants and the Buffalo Bills. In early 2007, Bill announced his retirement from football before returning to the sport as the Vice President of Football Operations with the Miami Dolphins. He then resigned as the “football czar” with the Dolphins in 2010 and took a leave of absence in October 2010 then left the team after the season.
Before coaching in the NFL, Bill Parcells attended Colgate University and was offered a contract by the Philadelphia Phillies his freshman year. His father disapproved of a career in sports and wanted him to study law, so he declined the offer. Bill later transferred to the University of Wichita where he played linebacker and graduated with a degree in physical education. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Detroit Lions but was released by the team before playing a single game. Bill is the only coach to lead four different teams to the playoffs.
Legends Bill Parcells and Jerry Rice announced they would sign with ESPN as football analysts for the 2011 season. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013 and then the following year he published the memoir Parcels: A Football Life. Bill Parcells is available for speaking engagements, fundraisers and personal appearances.
