American Olympic hero and groundbreaking motivational speaker for hire Chloe Kim is a role model to young women all over the world. The world got to know the real Chloe Kim a lot better in February of 2018 during the Olympics. Her father first put her on a snowboard when she was only 4-years-old and she simply couldn’t get enough. She was competing by 6, and trained in Switzerland from age 8-10. She completed her training back in Torrance, California before joining U.S. Snowboarding in 2013. Even at that age, the snowboarding world knew she was special. She was too young to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. That year however, she earned a Silver Medal in the 2014 Winter X Games SuperPipe event behind prolific U.S. snowboarder Kelly Clark. In 2015, Chloe came back to the Winter X Games on a mission and beat Kelly Clark to take the Gold Medal in SuperPipe at just 14-years-old.

2016 was a breakout year for the young star. She won Gold again in SuperPipe at the Winter X Games to become the youngest 2-time X Games Gold Medalist. At the 2016 U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix, she dazzled the crowd with 2 back-to-back 1080 spins in a run. She scored a perfect 100, and is the only snowboarder ever to be awarded a 100 in competition other than Shaun White.

The 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games served as a precursor to her 2018 Olympic performance. She won 2 Gold Medals in Slopestyle and HalfPipe! What’s more, she was chosen as the U.S. flag bearer for the opening ceremonies because they felt she best represent what the U.S. stands for on and off the playing field.
