NASCAR driver and sports speaker Jimmie Johnson is the driver of #48 Lowe’s Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. At the age of 5, Jimmie began racing motorcycles and competed in off-road series including Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group (MTEG), Short-course Off-road Drivers Association (SODA) and SCORE International—and won rookie of the year in each series.

In 1998, Jimmie Johnson and his team started stock car racing and moved to the American Speed Association series and won rookie of the year again. In 2000, he began the NASCAR Busch Series which was later renamed Nationwide Series.

Four years later, he made a move to Hendrick Motorsports in the Sprint Cup Series and finished fifth in points in his first full season. His first Cup Series win came in 2006 and went on to win again from 2007-2010. He became the only driver in NASCAR history to win five championships in a row. His records stand at 74 wins, 301 top-tens and 33 pole positions from 2002 to 2015. In 2009, Jimmie was the first driver to be named American Press Male Athlete of the Year and has won Driver of the Year five times. In 2012 and again in 2013 Jimmie won the the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race a record title of four times, that is more than Gordon and Dale Earnhardt. Most recently he tied Dale Earnhardt’s record for most wins in a career at 74.

In 2006 Jimmie and his wife Chandra founded The Jimmie Johnson Foundation to help children, families and communities in need. The following year, he opened Jimmie Johnson’s Victory Lanes, in Randelman, NC, for the campers at Pattie and Kyle Petty’s Victory Junction Gang Camp. He also joined the Ban Bossy campaign, as a spokesperson in 2014, to help advocate leadership in young girls. Jimmie Johnson is available for sporting events, personal appearances, and endorsements.
