Top business keynote speaker for hire Adam Neumann is a leading real estate entrepreneur turning the office and corporate real estate industry on its head in recent years with his own vision of shared, community work spaces. Adam is the co-founder and CEO of WeWork, a company offering entrepreneurs, freelancers, small businesses and others shared office space. Established in 2010, there are now over 50 WeWork locations scattered throughout the U.S., Israel and Europe.
After serving in the Israeli Navy, Adam moved to New York to manage his sister’s modeling career in 2001. While in the city he attended business school at Baruch College and entrepreneurship struck a chord with Adam. His first start-up, Krawlers, was a line of padded baby apparel and in 2006 he partnered with Suzan Lazar to create the Egg Baby apparel line. The WeWork concept was born when Adam and his friend Miguel McKelvey convinced their landlord and New York real estate mogul Joshua Guttman to rent out available space in his Brooklyn office building on Jay Street.
Together with Guttman, they founded Green Desk and began to rent out individual cubicles and work spaces to interested tenants. The concept took off and spawned an opportunity for Adam to grow his business beyond his first venture with Guttman. In 2009, Adam and Miguel founded WeWork with a vision to take their shared work space concept global. Together they are continuing to revolutionize the idea of the modern work space with non-traditional office amenities like arcade games, fully stocked refrigerators and organizing group trips and activities for their tenants.
